Strictly Come Dancing star's four-word warning to pros

Strictly Come Dancing is almost here with the BBC starting to confirming the official celebrity line-up. This first two celebrities are set to be announced on This Morning on Monday 5 August.

This year's series comes as the much-loved show has been hit with scandal after Giovanni Pernice was placed under investigation following accusations from Amanda Abbington and Graziano Di Prima was axed from the pro line-up.

Now, 15 new celebrities are hoping to replicate the success of Ellie Leach, who waltzed her way to the final with Vito Coppola.

Who is rumoured to be joining Strictly 2024?

There are several stars rumoured to be taking part this year including Love Islander Tasha Ghouri. She was born deaf and has a cochlear implant when she was five.

A source told The Sun: "Tasha has everything it takes to be a top drawer Strictly signing. Whilst fans who like a journey will be irked she is a professional dancer, others who enjoy watching incredible moments from the off will be more than satisfied."

Meanwhile, British Olympian Tom Dean has said he will be taking part, confirming before the BBC announced it. He told PA: "Naturally you want to take a break after you've had a full Olympic cycle and the opportunity arose. I thought it would be really exciting to try something a bit different."

Tom will be following in the footsteps of Adam Peaty who took part on the show with Katya Jones back in 2021.

Who is hosting Strictly Come Dancing?

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will now be returning to host Strictly Come Dancing despite rumours the pair could step down amid the scandal.

Also expected back are judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke.

The professional dancers confirmed to return are: Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola.

Returning to the fold is Aljaž Škorjanec after a two-year hiatus.
