Loose Women: Prue Leith says that getting old 'stinks'
Celebrity Great British Bake Off is set for a comeback on our screens with a fresh series, and this time there's a noticeable absenceâ€"Prue Leith.
A star-studded lineup will step into the famed tent, aiming to dazzle Paul Hollywood with their baking prowess. Hosting duties for the Channel 4 spectacle are in the capable hands of Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond.
The action kicks off at 7.40pm on Sunday, March 16, and among the celebs ready to whisk and whip are TV presenters Kate Garraway and Roman Kemp, property expert Sarah Beeny, the legendary Gloria Hunniford, and duo Scarlette and Stuart Douglas.
The competition heats up with the likes of Self Esteem's Rebecca Lucy Taylor and Chicken Shop Date's Amelia Dimoldenberg joining the fray alongside comedians Adam Buxton, Phil Wang, Sophie Willan, Jamali Maddix, and Tommy Tiernan, all vying for the prestigious Star Baker title.
Filling in the judging shoes alongside Paul Hollywood and cohorts Noel and Alison is the new culinary authority, Caroline Waldegrave CBE.
But what happened to Prue Leith and why isn't she on Celebrity Great British Bake Off?

She went on to say: "The whole way through the summer, so you start in April and you end at the end of August. Honestly, you get no time off. And, I'm getting a bit old and there's places I want to go."
Prue Leith has set the record straight, confirming she'll stay on as a judge in the flagship Great British Bake Off series. However, her pal Caroline Waldegrave OBE, who once co-ran Leith's School of Food and Wine with her, will be stepping into her shoes for another role.
Caroline Waldegrave is no newbie to the small screen, having graced programmes like Chef School, Masterchef, and Tricks of the Trade, not to mention penning several cookbooks. As The Great Celebrity Bake Off gears up for its latest season this weekend, Lady Waldegrave shared her thoughts on succeeding Dame Prue Leith as a judge.
She confessed: "I was completely terrified.

She added the production company, Love Productions, and Hollywood were “just so kind and so friendly" and that helped her to relax.
Lady Waldegrave added: “[The] mood is very light â€" there’s a lot of laughter â€" and (co-hosts) Alison (Hammond) and Noel (Fielding) were so nice to me.
“Particularly Alison. I mean, she’s so hugging that it was just magic.â€
The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer airs at 7.40pm on Sundays.
