Did Vanessa Minnillo Just Call Jessica Simpson an "Elephant"?

Well…kind of.

Newlywed bronzed beauty Vanessa Minnillo addressed the awkward on last night's TLC Dream Wedding special when she brought up hubby Nick Lachey's ex-wife Jessica Simpson and her concurrent wedding scheduling with fiance Eric Johnson.

Vanessa shares, "to address the elephant in the room, yes, you know coincidentally at the same time that our wedding is going on, his ex is actually also doing the beautiful thing of getting married herself." Adding, "I think she would probably pray, as much as I do, that they allow us to have our own moments."

Although Nick and Vanessa's wedding already went off without a hitchâ€"Jessica now seems to be on a different timetable.

The blonde recently divulged to Extra that she's yet to set a dateâ€"or even decide on a dress! As for why? The once wedding-obsessed singer/fashion designer explains that she's prioritized and is "super-focused"...on her mentor role for the upcoming NBC reality show, Fashion Star.

For Jess, it seems, the elephant in the room is her career. Congratulations all around!
