When you get a bunch of zombies together, bad things can happen.
A shifting stage early this morning on the set of Sony Screen Gem's Resident Evil: Retribution 3D sent 11 people to the hospital, though fortunately most escaped serious injury.
It could've been a lot worse however. Here's what happened.

Constable Victor Kwong, a spokesman for the Toronto Police Services, tells E! News that a wheeled platform being employed during filming of Paul W.S. Anderson's latest undead shoot 'em up at Cinespace Film Studios accidentally slipped out from under the actors and crewmembers who were moving from one area of the stage to another, resulting in a two-story fall.
"The platform shiftedâ€"it did not collapse," says Kwong. "The sudden movement injured 16 people. They all have various injuries, and 10 of those 16 have been taken to a local hospital. None of the injuries are life-threatening. The most serious injury out of those sent to the hospital was a back injury."
A number of victims suffered broken arms and legs in the mishap while others sustained bumps and bruises.
It's not known if the film's star, Mila Jovovich, was on the set, though it looks doubtful since news reports indicates it was mainly unnamed actors in zombie makeup. A rep for the studio said a statement on the accident would be forthcoming.
The last installment, Resident Evil: Afterlife, grossed $300 million at the worldwide box office, making a fourth sequel based on the popular video game a fait accompli.
Resident Evil: Retribution 3D, is scheduled to wrap shooting north of the border sometime in December before invading theaters on Sept. 12, 2012.Â
