Fox News: Whoopi Joins 'The Middle' & Lily Drops The F Bomb

Though it was a bitch-less day for ABC when the cast and executives behind the network took the spotlight at the Television Critics Association press event, soon, there's going to be a serious "F" bomb.

Panels for "GCB" (formerly "Good Christian Bitches") and "Don't Trust the B---- In Apartment 23" (formerly "Don't Trust the Bitch In Apartment 23") yielded a lot of Twitter attention, but the most shocking language came from "Modern Family."

Executive producer told reporters that toddler Lily -- the daughter of Cam and Mitch -- will say, "F---" on the Jan. 18 episode of the Emmy-winning sitcom. Levitan revealed the profanity scoop at a panel, according to a tweet from Louis Peitzman of TV.com. As far as Lily's likely-horrified dads go, Levitan told the crowd: "I kind of dare you to not love Cam and Mitch," according to a tweet from Marisa Roffman of Give Me My Remote.

But Lily isn't the only ABC surprise: It was also revealed at theTCA panel that Ed Asner and Whoopi Goldberg will make guest appearances on "The Middle." Zap2It's Rick Porter revealed via Twitter that this spring, Goldberg will play Sue's guidance counselor, which is no difficult task for socially awkward, brace-faced middle child on the Patricia Heaton-starring ABC sitcom. No word on where Asner will fit in.

See more of what the stars, producers and execs had to say at the TCA's below in our slideshow of the best tweets.
