Rupert Murdoch's Wife DIDN'T Publicly Call Him Out For Twitter Screw Up! Her Account Was Fake!

Too bad! We thought that was HIGHlarious!

To recap - after only two days on Twitter, Rupert Murdoch screwed up by tweeting the following ill-advised message:

"Maybe Brits have too many holidays for broke country!"

He then deleted the tweet, after receiving the following responses from a Twitter user claiming to be his wife Wendi Deng:

"RUPERT!! delete tweet!!"

"EVERY1 @rupertmurdoch was only having a joke pROMSIE!!!"

"explaining to @rupertmurdoch about being careful with humor on line. sometimes it comes out as rude!"

Now, a spokeswoman for Twitter is saying that the Wendi_Deng account was "mistakenly verified" by the company, and they're apologizing "for the confusion."

Wife or not, that account holder is basically a guardian angel for Rupert! He can't very well be expected to maintain his own Twitter account without constant supervision, now can he??? LOLz!
