Hmm. Not a bad idea. Not a bad idea at all.
Call us crazy, but we don't see anything wrong with the Lionsgate and Summit merger. In this instance, you've got two huge franchises â" one just beginning and one on its way out â" giving the company all the power it needs to make the kind of movies they want to make in the inbetween time. But having both The Hunger Games and The Twilight Saga under one roof can be beneficial to each of the franchises as well!
Case in point: What if the trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiered before The Hunger Games? Not only would you get all the Tributes in to see the movie, but Twi-hards would flock in DROVES just for the preview. Maybe they aren't completely on board with Katniss Everdeen, but so what? They bought the ticket to see the movie anyway!
Hear that sound? CHA-CHING!
Needless to say, we're of the shared opinion (as this is the rumor circulating the Internet today) that the final Twilight trailer will premiere before The Hunger Games come March. It sounds mutually beneficial to all involved; fans get their trailer early, studio gets their money!
A win-win!
