"Live From Studio 6H" â" 30 Rock's second live episode â" was itself an homage to live television, with many of the celebrity guests appearing in satirical flashbacks of previous (fictional) live shows. (Watch the full West Coast episode live in the clip below!)
Paul McCartney and Kim Kardashian appeared as themselves in brief cameos on the East Coast and West Coast episodes, respectively.
"Anyone see 30 Rock tonight??? I had a blast!!!!" Kardashian Tweeted after the show.
Mad Men's Hamm channeled his comedic side to appear as a newscaster in one scene and in a flashback parody of Amos 'n' Andy in another.
His appearance wasn't the episode's only shout-out to Mad Men â" Paul (Will Forte) used "Zou Bisou Bisou" as the soundtrack to his proposal to Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski).
Several of Tina Fey's former Saturday Night Live castmates also dropped by. Amy Poehler made her first-ever 30 Rock cameo and appeared as a teenage version of Fey's Liz Lemon, while Jimmy Fallon portrayed a young version of Alec Baldwin's character, General Electric executive Jack Donaghy. During his scene, Fallon could barely keep a straight face as his SNL buddy Fred Armisen sneaked into the shot from behind him.
In another flashback, Donald Glover from NBC's Community (and a former 30 Rock writer) guest-starred as Tracy Morgan's character, Tracy Jordan, in 1986.
