A gritty action flick called Cali, in which the 22-year-old celebutante will play a young woman from the San Fernando Valley who has a "penchant for bad choices and dangerous behavior," according to Variety.Â
In the film, written and directed by Michael Diliberti of 30 Minutes or Less fame, con artist lovebirds Mya (Stewart) and Chris make a mad dash out of state after selling a fake snuff filmâ€"featuring the not-actually-dead Myaâ€" for a ton of cash.
While the duo gets away with the con at first, trouble begins when they must return to California to save Mya's younger sister from a variety of villains, including "homicidal porn stars" and "stoner vet techs."

"Kristen is a talented and dynamic actor, with a proven box office draw," producer Craig J. Flores told the mag. "Her role in Cali will be edgy and sexy. It will no doubt push the envelope on the public's view of Kristen's wide-ranging abilities. [We are] thrilled to have her as a partner on this fantastic film."
Filming on the project is expected to begin this summer, and Stewart is expected to produce as well.
