NEW YORK â" Nearly four years after they clashed in a memorable TV interview, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Katie Couric face off again â" this time on a morning-show battle.
Viewers will cast their votes with their clickers today.
If youâre a Couric fan who misses those bygone mornings on the âTodayâ show, then click to âGood Morning America,â where Couric, now an ABC star, is subbing all week for co-host Robin Roberts.
But maybe you love the âmama grizzlyâ panache of Palin. And maybe youâre still miffed by how Couric, then anchoring the âCBS Evening News,â went to town on Palin during the 2008 presidential race. Then tune into NBCâs âToday,â where, during the 8 a.m. hour, Palin will serve as a guest host at Couricâs old haunt.
Welcoming the former Alaska governor to Studio 1A is the âTodayâ showâs brashest counter-move after âGMA,â the scrappy ratings runner-up, announced Couricâs fill-in role last week.
