Here's a look at what's buzzing in the books world today:
--The trilogy trend: From Fifty Shades of Grey to The Hunger Games, three seems to be the magic number this spring. Deirdre Donahue talks to Hilary Mantel (Bring Up the Bodies,) Erin Morgenstern (The Night Circus) and Amanda Hocking (Trylle trilogy) about the trend.
--Sleepy-time tales: Bob Minzesheimer picks four new bedtime stories, including a G-rated version of Go the ---- to Sleep (complete with Samuel L. Jackson cameo.) Choose which book is right for you with a gallery of inside pages.
--Sex sells: The Fifty Shades trilogy sweeps USA TODAY's Best-Selling Books list for the fourth consecutive week. Here's a taste, if you have yet to pick up the hot series.
--No e-Stephen King: There will be no joy for Kindle-loving thriller fans. The author says his new book, Joyland, out June 2013, will be released only as a paperback.
--Sweet success: Madeline Miller has won the Orange Prize for Fiction for her debut book, The Song of Achilles (read our 4-star review). The Orange Prize, open to any novel by a woman published in English, comes with an award of 30,000 pounds (about $46,600) and a bronze statue called "the Bessie."
--Hold onto your stilettos: Simon & Schuster announced today it will publish Lauren Weisberger's sequel to The Devil Wears Prada. Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns is scheduled for April 2013 release.
--Hatfields & McCoys book: The successful History Channel miniseries, which attracted 13.9 million viewers on Memorial Day, has breathed new life into the 1982 University Press of Kentucky book, The Hatfields and the McCoys by Otis K. Rice.
--Kindle comics: Two anthologies of the Doonesbury and Dilbert comic strips are now available on Kindle fire.
