It was a magical day with their family and friends but for Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman they just couldn't wait to be alone as husband and wife.

The happy couple were married in an intimate ceremony at their estate in Montecito, California estate yesterday evening.

The 37-year-old, who is heavily pregnant with the couple's first child, couldn't wait to share an intimate moment with her new husband as they both tenderly leaned in for a kiss as they were picked up from the ceremony.

The Jewish ceremony was officiated by a rabbi and Drew wore a stunning Chanel gown.

A source told People Magazine that the occasion was 'a classic, simple, very pretty, garden-inspired wedding.'

Flower arrangements were designed by Gazebo Flowers and included 'hydrangeas, small irises, cream and pink roses and lavender lilies' according to Us Weekly.

And Diaz's close bond with her fellow actress was clear when she accompanied Drew to her final wedding dress fitting earlier this week.

The pair, who have known each other since they were teenagers, were spotted leaving the Chanel store in Beverly Hills with coy smiles on their faces.

Cameron is believed to have been a bridesmaid at the ceremony.

The best pals were dressed casually as they left the fitting, with Cameron in a white T-shirt and aquamarine skinny jeans while the bride-to-be sported a baggy black top and boyfriend jeans, along with tan ankle boots.

Cameron revealed to InStyle magazine that Drew's fiancé sought her out before he popped the question to ask for her blessing to the union and said: 'I knew Drew was getting married before she did!'
