I'm A Celebrity to lose another campmate as they tackle 'highest trial ever'

I'm A Celeb South Africa tease Monday's episode

During last night's episode, Shaun Ryder and Gillian McKeith were booted from the ITV series after failing to beat their fellow campmates at the latest Bushtucker Trial.

After saying their goodbyes and having their South Africa journeys come to an end, viewers of the show were treated to a teaser for Monday night's instalment.

Showing a clip of three cranes hanging over a ravine, Declan Donnelly revealed: "Welcome to the highest trial ever in the history of I'm A Celebrity..."

The stakes are raised to their highest heights as Ant McPartlin added: "1,100 meters high," but it wasn't shown which three celebrities were taking part.

The drama didn't stop there, as once again Ant and Dec make their way into camp to deliver some more news.

Dec, unfortunately, explained: "For one of you this will be your last night in camp, who that is, is up to you."

Former Countdown star Carol Vorderman exclaimed: "No that's horrible," before the episode ended, leaving viewers on a cliffhanger.

Evicted campmates Shaun and Gillian went head to head against co-stars Andy Whyment, Jordan Banjo, Phil Tuffnell and Georgia Toffolo.

The trial consisted of the pairs being tied together with handcuffs and having to remove spanners and wrenches from three boxes to free themselves.

Their downfall came when Gillian refused to put her hand in the box which consisted of a group of snakes, being unable to get her wrench to free them.

Ant attempted to get Gillian to carry on the trial and said: "At least try!"

As a result of her defiance, the pair were told they were heading home and out of the competition.

Before they hopped on the boat out of the South African jungle, Gillian said of her time: "My time has been fantastic, it's been the best time of my life. I can't believe I'm saying that but it's true."

Shaun added: "I have come out with a prize, so I have won. I think we have come full circle, now we will have to get married."

When asked if he regretted his choice, Shaun said: "Well we are mates now so I can't s**g my mate off, can I?"

The pair hugged before they walked off arm in arm together, a rare sight after they had a turbulent relationship during their first meeting back in 2010.

I'm A Celebrity South Africa airs weeknights from 9pm on ITV.
