Travis Kelce's continuing shift into being an off-field celebrity will continue in the world of televised game shows.

Amazon Studios announced Tuesday that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end will host the new show Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? The show, which will air on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories, is a spinoff of the previous game show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?

"I grew up loving game shows, and I'm excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with Are you Smarter than a Celebrity," Kelce said. "The original show is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone's favorite celebrities to the screen, will definitely be entertaining. I'm just happy to be on the hosting side of the equation here and excited to see how these famous faces keep up."

Amazon ordered 20 episodes of the show, which will feature an adult contestant receiving help from a classroom of celebrities. The contestant will face 11 questions on various subjects and can ask the celebrities for help in an effort to win $100,000.

The final question is at a sixth-grade level, and the contestant can discuss it with one celebrity before finalizing their answer.

Kelce first became a household name among football fans as one of the best tight ends in NFL history. His resume includes three Super Bowl titles, four First-Team All-Pro selections and nine Pro Bowl nods.

However, he has become even more famous in recent years by dating music superstar Taylor Swift and hosting the New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason.

Jason Kelce retired after a legendary career with the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason, but Travis is still planning to suit up for the Chiefs for the 2024 campaign. They will be going for a third straight Lombardi Trophy during the upcoming season.

As for the game show, Kelce has a fairly direct tie to the world of celebrities given his affiliation with Swift. That should help him land notable guests for the show even in its first season.
