Plummer Home to host second annual crawfish boil fundraiser with local ‘celebrity chefs’

The Plummer Home is hosting its second annual Crawfish Boil fundraiser Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m at the courtyard behind The Loft, Mabella, Salt Cellar and Mixed Market.

The Plummer Home is a Columbus organization that helps veterans experiencing homelessness and other challenges.

John Shull, a board member for the Plummer Home, said the event is a way for the Plummer Home to take care of other veterans.

The event will host "celebrity chefs" consisting of local officials and authorities including Columbus Mayor Skip Henderson, Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman, Columbus Police Chief Stoney Mathis, Columbus Fire & EMS Chief Sal Scarpa, and many more.

"Celebrity chef is kind of a misnomer, they're really not cooking," Shull said. "It's a great social event."

Entry to the event is $30 which includes food. The event will feature live music from Tyler Smith and Foxy J, according to a flyer for the event.
