Former MLB superstars Barry Bonds and Derek Jeter will serve as honorary captains for the Fam Jam celebrity softball game at Rickwood Field on Wednesday night.
The Fam Jam is part of a "Barnstorm Birmingham" event and Juneteenth celebration in conjunction with the following day's MLB at Rickwood Field game between the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants. The Fam Jam celebrity game, set for 7 p.m., will be televised by MLB Network.

Bonds, a seven-time National League Most Valuable Player and MLB's all-time leader in single-season and career home runs, played 15 seasons with the Giants. He is the godson of Birmingham native and fellow MLB legend Willie Mays.
Jeter, a five-time World Series champion with the New York Yankees, was a first-ballot inductee to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2020. He spent his entire 20-year career with the Yankees and was a 14-time all-star.
Among the celebrities set to play in the game are former MLB first baseman Ryan Howard, former MLB pitcher CC Sabathia, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, NFL quarterback Jameis Winston, Pro Football Hall of Famers Terrell Owens and Dwight Freeney, NBA champions Stephen Jackson and JR Smith, TV star Omari Hardwick, boxing champion Alycia Baumgardner, and actor/comedians Lil Rey Howery, Phoebe Robinson and Roy Wood Jr. Players will be placed on teams named "Say Heys" and "The Hammers," named for Alabama-born baseball legends Willie Mays (AKA "The Say Hey Kid") and Hank Aaron (AKA "The Hammer").
The event also includes a post-game concert by influential hip-hop artist/producer Metro Boomin'. Tickets are on sale for $24 at MLB.com/rickwood.
