Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay has an important message he is sharing after being injured in a "bad accident" while riding his "bike in Connecticut."
"Wear a helmet," Ramsay posted on Instagram.
With "Hell's Kitchen" filming at Foxwoods Resort Casino for its 23rd and 24th seasons, the multi-Michelin starred celebrity chef has been spotted more than once in Mystic.
He wrote, that with Fathers Day on Sunday, "I have very important message for all the dads out there…WEAR A HELMET."
"This week I had a really bad accident while riding my bike in Connecticut. I'm doing ok and did not break any bones or suffer any major injuries but I am a bit bruised up looking like a purple potato," he wrote. " I'm thankful for all the doctors, nurses and staff at (Lawrence) + Memorial Hospital in New London who looked after me and checked me out, but most thankful for my helmet that saved my life."
"Have a great Father's Day and be safe."
Ramsay showed viewers his side, which had a very large purple bruise on it.
Among many replies, one poster on Instagram said, "Ouch. So thankful you're okay and thank God you're a safe rider! @gordongram love you lots ♥️ please take care and heal well."
Another said, "OMG, noooo! Please get well soon GR, and thank God you're ok. Praying for you and the family. Blessed Father's Day to you, Chef."
And, another: "I'm glad to hear you're all all right, that must've been a horrifying experience. Get well soon."
