The deadlock in the Kolkata entertainment industry over the shooting of films, serials, and web series finally ended on Tuesday after Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee intervened.
Following a hiatus of three days, studios are set to resume work on Wednesday. Veteran director Goutam Ghosh revealed in a press conference that all stakeholders, from directors to technicians and crew members, will now work in harmony.
A series of discussions was conducted among directors and technicians on Tuesday evening after industry representatives met with the Chief Minister. Actor-producer and MP Deepak Adhikari, aka Dev, attributed the resolution of the impasse to Banerjee's initiative, highlighting her appeal for a family-like cohesion within the industry.
