12 Times '9-1-1' Fans Won 'Celebrity Family Feud'

The great Jay-Z once rapped, "Nobody wins when the family feuds." But rest assured, when members of the 9-1-1 family took the Celebrity Family Feud stage in hopes of winning $25,000 for a charity of their choice, fans of the ABC drama won…repeatedly.

From start to finish, the eighth episode of Celebrity Family Feud's tenth season, "Fantasy Sweets vs Golden Five and 9-1-1 vs Jury Duty," was a star-studded, delightfully entertaining event.

Golden Bachelor fan-favorites Joan, Leslie, Ellen, Natascha, Sandra, Kathy, Susan, Faith, Nancy, and Edith kicked things off by reuniting on stage, sharing some spicy answers, and even flirting with host Steve Harvey a bit. Then Jury Duty's beloved cast members Ronald, Cassandra, Maria, David, Susan, and Edy stepped up to battle 9-1-1's Bryan Safi, Ryan Guzman, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, and Tracie Thoms.

The fact that the episode airs one week before 9-1-1's highly-anticipated eighth season premieres on ABC is perfect, as all the hilarious, embarrassing, triumphant cast moments will help hold fans over.

If you missed the 118 actors on the game show or simply want to relive the episode in all its glory, here are 12 times 9-1-1 fans emerged the real winners of Celebrity Family Feud.

  • When Oliver Stark And Ronald Gladden Went Head To Head (And Had No Game) Ronald Gladden and Oliver Stark on 'Celebrity Family Feud'Photo: Disney/Eric McCandless

If you've had the pleasure of watching Jury Duty, you know that its unsuspecting star Ronald Gladden emerged from the experiment as one of the planet's most wholesome humans. So when he walked up to the podium to play against 9-1-1 icon Oliver Stark, I admittedly had trouble suppressing a squeal.

In general, Jury Duty vs 9-1-1 was a 10/10 no notes match-up to begin with, but these two gents playing against each became even more precious when they both bombed the first question, showing the world they might not have the best game — when it comes to the show or when it comes to the ladies. When Steve Harvey said, "We asked 100 men: You know a date's not into you if she ___'s after you kiss her," Oliver said "Comes up with an excuse?" And Ronald said, "Pulls out her phone?" Both boys were wrong, which was a simply amazing start. But hey, at least they tried! We can't say the same for everyone…

  • When Ryan Guzman Immediately Got Buzzed Ryan Guzman on 'Celebrity Family Feud'Photo: Disney/Eric McCandless

After Oliver and Ronald lost their turns, Steve Harvey moved on to Ryan Guzman and asked the same question. A woefully unprepared Ryan replied, "Oh man…" and was buzzed on the spot in a move that had me and Ronald cackling while Oliver was reeling with disappointment.

  • When The Jury Duty Team "Called 9-1-1" And The 9-1-1 Cast Still Got Buzzed OLIVER STARK, RYAN GUZMAN, AISHA HINDS, TRACIE THOMAS, BRYAN SAFIPhoto: Disney/Eric McCandless

Eventually, the Jury Duty team chose to play, did the heavy lifting, and got several correct answers on the board. When Maria knew they were done for, she gracefully used her final "We asked 100 men: You know a date's not into you if she ___'s after you kiss her" guess and said, "CALLS 9-1-1!!!" It was a cheeky way to go out in style while passing the baton back to the 9-1-1 team, and Oliver — who had his game face on — clocked it instantly. He very seriously told his team, "Alright it's coming to us! It's coming to us!" But after having the full round to think of a perfect response, the 9-1-1 team still got buzzed and lost. In their defense, "Slaps you" seemed like a solid answer! What gives, 100 men?

  • When Ryan Got Buzzed AGAIN Ryan Guzman on 'Celebrity Family Feud'Photo: Disney/Eric McCandless

Next up to the podium, Ryan and Cassandra. Steve Harvey kicked off a new round by asking, "Name a reason a married man might say he went to a singles bar." The 9-1-1 actor quickly and confidently replied, "To check out sports!" And in response, he got got buzzed AGAIN. Was Eddie losing Christopher not traumatic enough for Ryan to deal with? How much can one man take?!

  • When Jury Duty's Susan Said "Karaoke Night" In The Presence Of Oliver And Ryan Ryan Guzman and Oliver Stark singing karaoke on '9-1-1'Photo: ABC

As the Jury Duty cast threw out reasons why a married man might say he went to a singles bar, our dearly beloved Susan guessed "KARAOKE NIGHT," and those two words uttered in the physical presence of Oliver Stark and Ryan Guzman after Buck and Eddie's extremely hyped karaoke scene got cut had me howling. After wholesome Ronald guessed "happy hour deals," Cassandra threw "Bachelor Party" out there, and once again, I was catapulted back to the Madney wedding era. HELP!

  • When The 9-1-1 Team Stole Again…And Got Buzzed Again (You Should Have Said "Research," Oliver!) OLIVER STARK, RYAN GUZMAN, AISHA HINDS, TRACIE THOMAS, BRYAN SAFIPhoto: Disney/Eric McCandless

At this point in the game, anyone with a pulse could tell the night wasn't going great for Team 9-1-1, and things were about to get worse. Once again, Jury Duty passed the question over to the 118 actors, which meant that all they had to do was guess a single correct answer to win. And yet…they couldn't do it! In response to "Name a reason a married man might say he went to a singles bar," Oliver confidently said, "He likes the food," and quickly got buzzed. To add insult to injury, when Steve Harvey revealed "Research/to look" as one of the correct answers, the camera caught a frustrated Oliver turning to Ryan and shouting, "I ACTUALLY SAID RESEARCH!" Poor boy. Hang in there, Buck.

  • When Tracie And Aisha And Bryan Came To Serve Tracie Thoms, Aisha Hinds, and Bryan Safi on 'Celebrity Family Feud'Photo: Disney/Eric McCandless

This is simply a Tracie and Aisha and Bryan appreciation post. Sure Aisha got buzzed multiple times and Tracie failed to give an answer entirely, but look at those fits! And never forget that when the next question of the night — "Name an animal a 50-year-old cougar might compare her 20-year-old boyfriend to" — came along, Tracie said "puppy" and finally gave Team 9-1-1 a chance to play a round from the top. Icon Bryan Safi delivered another correct answer with "lion cub," and Oliver boldly followed suit with "Tiger."For a moment, things were looking up for our fave fictional first responders, but alas, Ryan was up, which meant (with all due respect!) that a buzz was imminent.

  • Lion Cubs, And Tigers, And Jackrabbits — OH MY! Ryan Guzman on 'Celebrity Family Feud'Photo: ABC

Following Oliver's delicious victory (one he deemed worthy of a fist pump), Ryan gave a jaw-dropping answer to, "Name an animal a 50-year-old cougar might compare her 20-year-old boyfriend to." This man rubbed his hands together, stuck his tongue out, and said "JACKRABBIT" and yes, he caused a scene. The crowd cheered. Oliver cackled. Steve Harvey said, "That was a good one." But it's Ryan! So he was buzzed.

  • When They Went With "Eggs" STEVE HARVEY, OLIVER STARK, RYAN GUZMAN, AISHA HINDS, TRACIE THOMAS, BRYAN SAFIPhoto: Disney/Eric McCandless

Despite a horrible beginning and middle of the game, 9-1-1's team had a comeback for the ages in crunch time thanks to one single word: "Eggs." After Team Jury Duty got three strikes in their super successful "Name something that the fluffier it is the better" round, 9-1-1 stole and FINALLY, AT LONG LAST, DELIVERED A CORRECT GUESS. As Ryan flashed a michevious grin, Oliver announced, "We're gonna go with eggs." A questionable response from Steve Harvey had the team sweating and even prompted Oliver to ask, "Why you react like that?!" But in the end, the people like their eggs fluffy! 9-1-1 took a long overdue win and Ryan celebrated by grabbing his buddy's shoulders with glee.

  • When The Bees Came Through For Team 9-1-1 '9-1-1' Season 8 Bee-nado promo posterPhoto: Disney

Some how, some way, the 9-1-1 team prevented Jury Duty's crew from reaching 300 points, which meant it was time for a Sudden Death round. The team with the top answer would move on, so Susan and Bryan made their way to the podium where Steve Harvey read the following fill in the blank prompt: "Busy as a ____." Without missing a BEE-at, Bryan said "Bee!" won the round, and secured 9-1-1 the Fast Money round! It'd be a miracle without the added layer of kismet, but the fact that the 9-1-1 team won with the word BEE when their three-episode Season 8 premiere event chronicles 22 million killer bees on the loose in a "BEE-NADO" had me looking like the Leo DiCaprio pointing meme and howling at the top of my lungs. To celebrate the BEE-AUTIFUL twist, the 9-1-1 cast embraced, jumped, and basked in their victory before getting their game faces back on.

  • When The 9-1-1 Team Made A Miraculous Comeback Bryan Safi and Oliver Stark on 'Celebrity Family Feud'Photo: Disney/Eric McCandless

I nearly had to call 9-1-1 for myself when the 9-1-1 team made it to the Fast Money round against all odds. They sent Oliver and Bryan forward to win it all, and after both actors gave impressive responses to the five final questions, they earned enough points to win the $25,000 for their charity of choice: American Red Cross. (Sidenote: Did Ryan shout, "Come on, Oli! in support or did I make that up entirely?)

  • When The 9-1-1 And Jury Duty Casts Celebrated BRYAN SAFI, RYAN GUZMAN, OLIVER STARK, AISHA HINDS, TRACIE THOMS on 'Celebrity Family Feud'Photo: Disney/Eric McCandless

Look at those five Celebrity Family Feud champions! In celebration of the big victory, Oliver did a little dance, Bryan rushed to hug him, Ryan ran over and jumped on top of them with glee, and Aisha and Tracie got in on the group hug. Before the episode wrapped, the Jury Duty cast took the floor to congratulate and mingle with Team 9-1-1, Ronald hugged everyone (including his own teammate Susan), and we even clocked Ryan and Maria dancing! So much winning went down tonight, but dare I say, no one won harder than the 9-1-1 fans. (Except maybe Oliver. He really wanted this, didn't he?)

  • 9-1-1 Season 8 premieres Thursday, September 26 on ABC with next-day streaming on Hulu.
