Hollywood K-9 Athos retires from service

  • HOLLYWOOD, Ala. (WHNT) — Hollywood Police K-9 Athos, who has been working at the police department for the last five years is retiring.

    Hollywood Police said that Athos completed his last search, last report, and last ride as a working K-9.

    The department said that Officer Athos served his department, community, county, and fellow officers diligently and with respect and professionalism.

    According to the department, Officer Athos will "retire and live out his years to be spoiled and loved."

    Officer Athos will live out his remaining years with his previous handler Chief Cecil Davis, according to the department.

    Officer Athos will be seven years old in December.
