Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared in great spirits as they attended a star-studded bash in California at the weekend. .
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended long-time friend Tyler Perry 's 55th birthday celebrations in a $31million (£23million) mansion in Montecito on Saturday evening. The couple were spotted leaving the party around 11pm and were full of smiles, giggling in the backseat of a black Range Rover.
A slew of famous faces joined Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, at the glitzy bash, including talk show host Oprah Winfrey, singer Alicia Keys and actor Aaron O'Connell. Paramount CEO Brian Robbins and his wife, Tracy, who are neighbours of the Sussexes, were also at the event, as well as TV personality Gayle King.

He said: "Lots of speeches and food too. Everyone was having a lot of fun. It was a good party. There were a lot of famous people but I cannot say anymore."

It was also said that a "male person who sounded like Harry was heard making a speech". Harry and Meghan were driven by a professional driver and arrived at the event around 7pm, and left four hours later with an unknown friend in the car. They were also accompanied by a member of security.
The birthday party was held inside the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom property - a day after Tyler's 55th birthday and a day before Harry's 40th birthday. Meghan and Harry built a close friendship with filmmaker Tyler in 2020 when he offered the couple to stay in his Beverly Hills mansion on their move to the US.
He is now godfather to their daughter, Princess Lilibet, and has spoken highly of their relationship. In an interview on the Today show in September 2022, Tyler said: "They found each other, out of all these odds against them finding each other, they found each other. The love they have is really, really moving and I wanted to do anything I could to support them."

The message was also accompanied by a picture of a smiling Harry and an emoji of a birthday cake.
Around an hour later, the same post was shared by the Prince and Princess of Waleses' X account along with the message: "Wishing a Happy 40th Birthday to The Duke of Sussex!" Some will see the post as a surprise move given the unresolved tensions between the brothers, which has shown no sign of abating.
But according to royal biographer and editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, Ingrid Seward, there was a big reason for the message. She told the Mirror : "King Charles would have celebrated his son's 40th from a distance. Milestone birthdays are important to the royals. Whatever upsets Harry has caused would have been forgotten for the day.
"Even Prince William wished his brother Happy Birthday â" even if it was through clenched teeth. He doesn't trust him, but together with his family, he wished him the best on his milestone birthday." Harry was said to be spending his big day with his wife Meghan and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet before embarking on a 'lads getaway'.
