Bangor Alternative Baseball gears up for Celebrity Game

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Bangor Alternative Baseball is gearing up for its yearly Celebrity Game at Mansfield Stadium.

The organization gives baseball players ages 15 and up with autism and other disabilities an authentic game-playing experience.

The Celebrity Game is a fun way to wrap up the season.

"I've never left this stadium playing with these guys and girls without a smile on my face. It's infectious. It's actually the purest form of baseball I believe that there is in the world," said Tyler Parke, head coach.

"This is something I look forward to every year. It's kind of like my Super Bowl and World Series in one. I'm really happy and excited to get out there and play," said Jack Williams, shortstop.

First pitch is on Sunday 1 p.m.
