After 2024 was a massively successful year for the international franchise, Celebrity Traitors UK is set to premiere in 2025. Unlike Peacock's The Traitors, the UK version typically doesn't cast celebrities. But now, The Traitors UK is getting in on the action with some pretty big names reportedly involved. Which celebs are reportedly heading to the Scottish Highlands castle next year?

Yes, as in that Courteney Cox! See what we mean about some pretty major names? Courteney spent lots of time in the UK, especially once she began dating Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol. The legendary comedic actress is also friends with The Traitors UK host Claudia Winkleman. Maybe that was enough to convince the erstwhile Monica Gellar to join her first reality TV competition. Would Claudia select her pal as one of the Traitors? At the very least, it would be a fun Scream reference to see Courteney plotting murders in a cloak. Surely, no one would accuse the beloved TV staple of being a Traitor … or would they?

Here's something Traitors UK fans have seen once before – mother and son competing against each other in the Scottish castle! Legendary tennis player Andy Murray is rumored to join the celebrity edition alongside his mum Judy. Since Judy was the coach for both Andy and his brother Jamie Murray, they've already been in some very high-pressure competitions together!
Though Andy retired from tennis, he was ranked number one in the world, received multiple Wimbledon and Grand Slam titles, and won two Olympic gold medals. Will his incredible success translate off the court and into the Scottish castle? His mum could have a home-court advantage. Scotland is Judy's homeland, whereas Andy is British.
Like a number of the names on our list, Judy and Andy both received the Order of the British Empire (OBE). Famously, the USA Traitors host Alan Cumming returned the OBE he received back in 2009.

Another OBE recipient and Olympian athlete in the mix is the very lovable diver, YouTuber, and LGBTQ+ advocate Tom Daley. Tom announced his retirement after winning a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics but may be diving right in (sorry, I had to) to a new competition if the Celebrity Traitors UK casting rumors are true. Considering how intense the competition can get in the Scottish castle, Tom may have to do a lot of knitting to relax, like he famously does at the Olympics.

To reiterate how impressive this rumored celebrity roster is, Stephen Fry may also compete in the Scottish castle! It's debatable whether Stephen is as famous in the US as comedy partner Hugh Laurie, but I feel pretty comfortable asserting he's a household name on both sides of the pond. Most recently, he guest starred on Season 3 of The Morning Show, alongside Courteney Cox's on and off-screen BFF Jennifer Aniston. Stephen's razor-sharp wit is legendary and could make him a very formidable competitor.

If Vernon Kay and Tess Daly casting rumors are true, it won't be the first time a romantic couple competed against each other in the Scottish castle. Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen made waves when they both competed on Season 2 of Peacock's The Traitors earlier this year. Of course, there are some notable differences between the two couples. Namely, that Marcus and Larsa called their very controversial romance off this summer, for good this time. Or so they say!
By contrast, Vernon and Tess have been married since 2003. Unlike some names on our list, the married TV presenters appeared in multiple competition series. Vernon competed on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2020. Tess co-hosts Strictly Come Dancing with The Traitors UK presenter Claudia Winkleman. So, if Claudia hosts the Celebrity Traitors as well, that change in dynamics should be interesting to watch.

Another OBE recipient on our list of rumored Celebrity Traitors UK competitors is presenter, journalist, and author Claire Balding. Clare is a very familiar face for UK viewers. Her renowned broadcasting career has been going strong since the 1990s, and she's won many prestigious awards. She's especially well known for her presentations for the Olympics and Paralympics. Since 2023, she's been the lead presenter for coverage of Wimbledon. So, she's very familiar with the celeb athletes she may compete against in the Scottish castle.
Jonathan RossPhoto Credit: Karwai Tang/WireImage
Jonathan Ross is yet another OBE recipient who is also a longtime staple of UK television. American audiences may be familiar with him as well. Clips of celebrities on The Jonathan Ross Show often go viral on YouTube. Over the years, he's appeared on panel shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats and the Big Fat Quiz of the Year. In 2013, he won a celebrity edition of Deal or No Deal.
Since 2020, Jonathan has been a judge on the UK's The Masked Singer, alongside Love Island UK host Maya Jama. He previously judged spin-off The Masked Dancer. Currently, he also co-hosts a podcast with his youngest daughter Honey Ross.

If these rumors are true, kudos to the casting team for getting some funny celebs on board in the Scottish castle. The British actress, comedian, and theater director is probably best known to viewers for her role as Magda on Absolutely Fabulous, and her appearances on French and Saunders. Viewers who aren't familiar with Jennifer Saunders will likely recognize Kathy Burke from her vast on-screen credits. Including Nil By Mouth, Sid and Nancy, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Later this year, she'll appear alongside Saoirse Ronan in Steve McQueen's new film Blitz, which has Oscar buzz.
Richard OsmanPhoto Credit: David Levenson/Getty Images
Richard Osman is best known for his long history with UK quiz shows, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Especially for co-presenting BBC One's Pointless from 2009 to 2022. Since 2017, he's hosted Richard Osman's House of Games. He's also a comedian, political commenter, and bestselling author. He's a mainstay of panel shows, appearing on Taskmaster, QI, The Fake News Show, and Have I Got News For You. And he was a producer on shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats and 10 O'Clock Live.
Interestingly, Richard writes a very successful series of murder mystery novels, called the Thursday Murder Club. That should certainly come as an advantage when playing the Traitors' mind games!
Bob MortimerPhoto by Andrew Benge/Getty Images
Bob Mortimer is a regular on panel shows, including Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Would I Lie to You?, and Taskmaster. He's also well known for his collaborations with Vic Reeves. Funnily enough, he goes way back with another rumored competitor on our list. Comedy duo Vic and Bob made their TV debut on One Hour with Jonathan Ross in 1989.
The author's long history in improv means that Bob is quick on his feet. This will certainly come in handy during the Traitors round tables. And, it will help if he's named one of the Traitors, to avoid getting found out by any Faithfuls.
