WELP, it happened.
Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris to win the 2024 presidential election despite being a convicted felon who incited the now-infamous Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol in 2021.
With mounting momentum and star-studded support, Kamala finished 69 electoral votes shy of beating Trump who became the first Republican candidate to win both the popular vote and Electoral College since George W. Bush in 2004.
While Trump's deeply unserious D-list supporters celebrated the victory, many relevant A-listers like Cardi B openly expressed their disappointment in the results while showing love to Kamala Harris.
"Before Kamala joined the race, we knew how this country is set up and what was probably going to happen but it was so inspiring how she fought and changed so many minds, including mine."
When all was said and done, she admitted that she ultimately was just feeling really sad.
"No matter what, I know that [Harris is] probably emotional right now. I know there's probably a lot going on in her mind and I know she's not listening to this, but she will eventually see it.
"I just hope she knows no matter what happens tonight, millions of people are proud of her," she added. "Women around the world are proud of her. Women of color are proud of her."
Leading up to the election, Cardi delivered a viral speech at Kamala Harris' rally in Wisconsin where she admitted that she wasn't even going to vote in this election until Joe Biden dropped out and Harris was added to the ticket.
"Just like Kamala Harris, I too have been the underdog," she said to the audience. "I've been underestimated. My success, belittled and discredited. Women have to work 10 times harder, perform 10 times better, and still, people question us [on] how we got to the top."
Following the speech, Cardi got into it with Elon Musk who criticized a video of the rapper reading her speech off a phone after a teleprompter broke.
"Another puppet who can't even talk without being fed the words," he tweeted. "The Kamala campaign has no authenticity or true empathy."
In response, Cardi wrote: "I'm not a puppet Elon.. I'm a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their ass off to provide for me! I'm a product of welfare, I'm a product of section 8, I'm a product of poverty and I'm a product of what happens when the system is set up against you… But you don't know nothing about that. You don't know not one thing about the American struggle…. PS fix my algorithm."
