ITV I'm A Celebrity star Dean McCullough forced off show after co-stars 'make it clear to bosses'

ITV I’m A Celebrity’s Dean McCullough was forced off an afternoon show amid a bullying row, it has emerged. BBC Radio 1 star Dean - who is currently starring on I'm A Celebrity - faced allegations from production staff after problems on the afternoon show, it has been claimed.

The DJ was moved from 1pm until 3.30pm with his co-host Vicky Hawkesworth to the graveyard shift as the host of Early Breakfast in February this year. A Radio 1 source told MailOnline: "Quite a few people who worked with Dean were really unhappy â€" and some of them made it very clear with bosses.

"They accused him of being a bully to staff, and they just didn't want to keep working with him any longer. To be honest by the end it was just chaos â€" there were cover presenters drafted in and producers moved around to try to keep things on track but it became untenable."

Producers refused to work with the 32-year-old, making his job on the afternoon slot "untenable". A BBC spokesman said: "We don't comment on individuals but we take any allegations of inappropriate behaviour very seriously and the BBC has robust processes in place to investigate them thoroughly."

Dean shifted from his high profile afternoon show which he presented alongside Vicky â€" with the duo having replaced veteran Scott Mills who was recently announced as the new host of Radio 2's Breakfast show, the newspaper has reported.

And Dean's new gig, The Early Breakfast Show, where he remains from Monday to Thursday each week is broadcast from Manchester rather than the station's London headquarters â€" keeping him well away from the disgruntled staffers, they have added.

Dean has clashed with fellow campmates including Alan Halsall and Melvin Odoom for not pulling his weight fairly with chores.
