Celebrity Cruises is introducing The Bazaar, a multi-level, multi-sensory space set to debut on the Celebrity Xcel.
Blending onboard and onshore experiences, The Bazaar will transform daily, offering guests a variety of immersive experiences inspired by the destinations they visit.
From artisan markets showcasing locally crafted goods to hands-on cultural workshops, destination-themed festivals and regionally inspired dining, The Bazaar will extend the spirit of each port onto the ship. Guests can expect live entertainment, interactive experiences and evolving atmospheres that capture the essence of each itinerary.
According to a press release, the new concept redefines how travelers engage with destinations, offering an ever-changing experience throughout their voyage.
"The Bazaar is a truly one-of-a-kind space designed to seamlessly blend ship and shore and transform the way guests experience destinations," said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises. "Celebrity Xcel intentionally extends the destination experience onboard through a continued authentic offering between ports of call, allowing guests to take the destination with them."
The Bazaar will feature four destination-inspired Caribbean festivals, each tied to the ship's itinerary. These festivals will showcase local culture through food, crafts, music, dance and live entertainment. As the Celebrity Xcel heads to Europe in 2026, The Bazaar will highlight Mediterranean festivals, markets and culinary experiences.
On sea days, the Market at The Bazaar will host local artisans who will showcase their crafts, offer demonstrations and lead hands-on workshops. Offerings will change based on the festival theme and may include rum and chocolate pairings, hot sauce tastings and basket weaving. Guests can also purchase various souvenirs like Caribbean masks, Mexican leather hats and embroidery.
Dining at The Bazaar will reflect regional flavors, with Mosaic serving dishes inspired by the ship's destinations. The space will also feature an industry-first Chef's Table experience, where Celebrity's culinary team presents a multi-course menu inspired by their native cuisines, paired with selections from the cruise line's award-winning wine collection.
The Celebrity Xcel will also introduce Chef's Studio at Mosaic, the cruise line's first destination-inspired cooking school, where guests can learn to prepare regional dishes reflecting each festival theme.
A new casual dining venue, Spice, will offer rotating bites inspired by the ship's itinerary, with a seating area featuring floor-to-ceiling windows for sea and port views.
Celebrity Cruises is also launching Xcel Dream Makers, a global community where guests can vote on culinary, entertainment and design choices for The Bazaar. Participants can help shape festival themes, activities and menus by registering at www.celebritycruises.com/xceldreammakers.
The Celebrity Xcel will kick off its inaugural season from Fort Lauderdale, offering seven-night Caribbean itineraries. In summer 2026, the ship will debut in Europe with seven- to 11-night Mediterranean sailings from Barcelona and Athens, including new overnight stays in Madeira, Portugal.
