Celebrity Big Brother's AJ Odudu shares defiant message to critics 'Who cares?'

20:00, 05 Apr 2025Updated 20:02, 05 Apr 2025

Excitement is building for the new series of Celebrity Big Brother on Monday – and hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best are spilling the beans. They have valuable advice for the next crop of famous faces about to walk through those iconic doors, and tell us why would-be contestants should maybe unfriend them.

AJ also vows to get those Ofcom emails stacking up with her sexy catsuits, declaring defiantly: "We don't want complaints but I'm, like, 'Who cares?' Getting all dressed up and expressing yourself through fashion is my coat of armour. It gets me confident and ready for the show. It's about how I feel and want to present myself, not about Ofcom." Well, that's the haters told.

Will vows to give AJ a run for her money in the glam stakes, though. He promises: "More buttons are getting undone on the shirt and the vests are getting higher."

He also warns his co-host: "I've got a new pair of boots as well. I've got four centimetres instead of three, so I'm going to be tottering around next to you."

AJ chips in: "I'm a proper northern lass when it comes to getting dressed up. I'm the same girl I was going on a night out round Blackburn town centre – getting ready with my mates, sticking on my eyelashes, whacking on my heels and hobbling out.

"We're all excited. Will will have his chest hairs in curlers, I'll have five people with a bottle of talc set to squeeze me into a very unforgiving catsuit."

While the celebrity line-up has not yet been officially revealed, it has been reported that Hollywood icon Mickey Rourke, drag star Danny Beard, Towie favourite Ella Rae Wise and singer Chesney Hawkes have all signed up, along with presenter Angellica Bell and Love Island's Chris Hughes.

They have a lot to live up to after last year's hit pairing of Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh. AJ admits: "I was obsessed with Louis and Sharon, throwing someone under the bus every single night. It was, like, 'Who's next?' The gossip was unmatched."

Will adds: "Louis showed that dropping your filter can get you a long way in that house, People love authenticity, they love it when people are keeping it real, and that's what Louis did. And even though for so much of that series, he was kind of the villain. He stuck around, you know, he got really far because people loved and respected that he just said whatever the hell was on his mind."

The pair also revealed why their showbiz pals should steer clear of tapping them up to go on. Will says: "It's a sure fire way of them not getting in the house. Sometimes, if they know us, it goes against them. You don't want it to be biased."

Katie Holmes enrolls Suri Cruise at pricey Manhattan private school Avenues ... - New York Daily News

James Devaney/WireImage Suri Cruise leaves Chelsea Piers. Katie Holmes reportedly enrolled her in a pricey private school near their Chelsea apartment. Suri Cruise is set to start first grade in style at a pricey new Manhattan private school this year. Katie Holmes enrolled 6-year-old Suri at Avenues, a nearly $40,000-a-year school set to open this fall, Life & Style reported. “Katie has eagerly been telling Suri all about the lunchrooms, basketball courts and different activities Avenues offers. Suri’s really excited about it,” a source told the magazine. The Chelsea school, which overlooks the High Line and isn’t far from Holmes’ apartment in the same neighborhood, boasts a rooftop playground and a fitness center, plus a gym with full-sized basketball and volleyball courts. The for-profit Tenth Ave. school stresses bilingual education, so Suri will learn in Mandarin or Spanish in addition to English. The so-called “world school” plans to open bran...

Review: 'The Raven' is a feeble fictional story - CNN

John Cusack stars as Edgar Allan Poe in "The Raven." John Cusack plays Edgar Allan Poe in "The Raven" Peter Travers: Cusack, who plays Poe with just the right blend of romantic longing and tortuous doubt Travers: Cusack captures that desperation vividly enough ( Rolling Stone ) -- There's a promising premise on the boil here. What if Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) spent the last days of his life trying to nab a serial killer who's been using macabre ideas from Poe's short stories to off his victims? "The Pit and the Pendulum," anyone? OK, "The Raven" sounds like a TV series that gets canceled soon after its debut. But it has compensations, chief of which is John Cusack , who plays Poe with just the right blend of romantic longing and tortuous doubt. Director James McTeigue (" V for Vendetta "), an assistant to the Wachowski brothers on " The Matrix ," pulls us i...
