The question of who in the world Leonardo DiCaprio is datingâ€"one that has animated the pop-cultural discourse since at least the early ’90s (remember the, ahem, Pussy Posse?)â€"was revived anew after the Met, which DiCaprio attended with his 26-year-old supermodel girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti. (And their couples’ style was on point, of course; after all, if you’re not making sure your tuxedo works with your GF’s Moncler pinstripe mini, are you even a reformed Hollywood bachelor?)

Who is Vittoria Ceretti?

Ceretti, a 26-year-old Italian fashion model, was discovered through the Elite Model Look contest in 2012 before making her runway debut in Milan for the designer Kristina Ti. Over the last dozen years, Ceretti has done campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Alexander McQueen, Fendi, Chanel, Pucci, and Tiffany's and has appeared on the cover of Vogue and its various international editions 24 times (including as one of the seven models on the cover of Vogue US’s 125th-anniversary edition in March 2017). Ceretti was previously married to Italian-American DJ Matteo Milleri; the two divorced in 2023.

August 2023: They step out for iced treats

I have to say, I do love the energy of getting iced coffee and ice cream on one of your first publicly recorded dates, as DiCaprio and Ceretti did two years ago in Santa Barbara. Sometimes you just need both! (In this situation, though, I think I’d opt for an affogato.)

September 2023: They hang out with Leo’s mom

Do you ever stop to think about the parade of beautiful women that DiCaprio’s mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, has likely met during her tenure as parent to of one of the most prolific daters in Hollywood? According to Page Six, DiCaprio and Ceretti hit up a museum with Indenbirken in Milan, which is an excellent way to ingratiate yourself with your potential in-laws. (Moms love culture!)

March 2024: The engagement rumors begin

On March 27, speculation began to abound as to whether DiCaprio and Ceretti had gotten engaged, but it turned out that Ceretti was just…wearing a ring on her left hand, which is a normal thing people do. I mean, I’m doing it right now, and I’m certainly not engaged to Leonardo DiCaprio!

You could not pay me enough money to learn the rules of pickleball (even if my partner in the game was Leo himself), but apparently DiCaprio and Ceretti are fans, since they were spotted playing the popular racquet game on the beach ahead of the new year.

March 2025: Ceretti makes her first public(-ish) comments about dating DiCaprio

“As soon as you’re in a relationship with someone who has a larger following than you, you become ’girlfriend of’â€"or ’boyfriend of,’ for that matter. And that can be extremely annoying. Suddenly, people are talking about you as so-and-so’s girlfriend who was so-and-so’s ex. So it’s not nice to think that you can’t love whoever you want, because of the labels people need to stick on you,” Ceretti told Vogue France in an April issue intervie w. She didn’t mention DiCaprio by name, but she did acknowledge that they met in Milan (“I prefer not to go into details”) and referenced the existence of Titanic (“It’s an iconic film…”). Well, yes!

May 2025: DiCaprio and Ceretti make their Met Gala debut

No, the couple didn’t actually walk the blue floral carpet together, but DiCaprio did bring Ceretti as his date to his very first Met Gala ever (!), and really, who needs all the pomp and pageantry of being photographed a zillion times when you could just rendezvous inside the Met? We love a semi-sneaky hard launch on the first Monday in May!
