Celebrity Chef's Latest Move Has Fans Feeling Major Nostalgia

Celebrity Chef's Latest Move Has Fans Feeling Major Nostalgia originally appeared on Parade.

A beloved celebrity chef appears to be delivering nostalgia in the latest installment of her newest TV series. In what seems to be a throwback to her early days on the small screen, she's serving up a style of cooking strikingly similar to the quick, approachable recipes that first put her on the map. Longtime fans are already buzzing, wondering if this subtle revival signals something bigger for the future.

Rachael Ray became a household name with her quick, easy, and tasty Food Network series, 30-Minute Meals. The original series ran for 11 seasons, from 2001 through 2012, with a 2019 revival.

In 2006, she launched her self-titled syndicated daytime talk show, where she blended cooking segments, lifestyle tips, and celebrity interviews. The show ran for 17 seasons before airing its final episode in 2023.

Today, Ray hosts Meals in Minutes on FYI, where she shares quick and easy recipes straight from her home kitchens in upstate New York and Tuscany. The show blends her signature no-fuss style with familiar, personal touches.

In a new Instagram post, the celebrity chef shared a recipe that appeared to be a throwback to her Food Network days. Fans were thrilled to see her return to her culinary roots with a meal that seemed easy, accessible, and tasty.

Ray explained why she was focusing on this type of recipe in the post's caption. "I grew up loving those drive-thru fish sandwiches. So I made my own version, and dare I say, she's better. We're talkin' crispy fish, tangy yogurt tartar sauce, fries on the side or in the sandwich if you're wild like that."

Fans were thrilled to see the celebrity chef return to the style of cooking that first made her a household name. Many took to the comments section to share their excitement and appreciation.

"I LOVED 30-Minute Meals, this reminds me of it! Thank you!!!" wrote one follower. A second penned, "That's my favorite girl bringing it yet again!"

"We love you Rachael!! You are one of the goats of FNW and got so many of us hyped about getting a meal done quickly!" a third fan noted. "Love your shows and have watched you for years. Love your cooking ideas," a fourth viewer concluded.

In addition to Meals in Minutes, Ray hosts two other shows on FYI: Rachael Ray in Tuscany and Rachael Ray's Italian Dream Home.

Rachael Ray's Meals in Minutes airs on the FYI Network. The series airs new episodes on Mondays at 9 pm ET.
