C-drama actor Yu Menglong rumored dead after tragic fall in Beijing, news devastates Chinese entertainment industry


The Chinese entertainment industry was left in shock and despair on September 11, 2025 after news emerged that popular actor Yu Menglong, aged 37, had supposedly died under shady circumstances. Powerful blogger Jiang Xiaoyan reported that Yu's friend had confirmed the fact.

Yu had reportedly joined a private dinner with some friends in Beijing on September 10, according to reports. The group is said to have spent late hours together, returning to a friend's house at 2 AM. Yu is reported to have locked himself in a room and went to bed afterward. Hours later, when friends tried to wake him up, there was no answer.

Disturbing discovery

A dog-walking neighbor allegedly found Yu's body in the early morning outside the building and promptly alerted poli ce. Police responded at the scene, and initial reports stated suspicious details: two Rolex watches of Yu's friends were recovered from his pocket, and the mosquito screen on his bedroom window seemed like it had been tampered with.

While foul play had initially been suspected, officials have reportedly denied homicide. The reason for death has yet to be announced, and the public is left with more questions than answers.

Yu Menglong, born in Xinjiang in 1988, became one of the most popular "flower boys" in the entertainment circle with his good looks and neat attitude. Yu has long been considered to be among the sexiest males in Chinese historical dramas, thus fans are saddened by his alleged death. Ever since, condolence messages have bee n raining on social media, with everybody recalling his professionalism, charm, and the lasting impact of his performances.
