Hollywood’s First AI-Generated Star Could Be Signed Soon; They Want Her To Be "The Next Scarlett Johansson"

Hollywood may be on the verge of signing its first AI-generated actress, and the deal could change the future of talent representation in the entertainment industry. This is absolutley bonkers!

Actor, comedian, and technologist Eline Van der Velden has confirmed that her recently launched AI talent studio, Xicoia, is in talks with agencies about signing its debut creation, AI actress Tilly Norward.

Van der Velden shared the news during a panel at the Zurich Summit, where she first gave a presentation about her AI production studio Particle6 before joining Verena Puhm, head of Luma AI's new Studio Dream Lab LA, for a discussion on the future of AI in film and television.

Both panelists emphasized that while studios have been publicly cautious, they've been experimenting behind the scenes.

"We were in a lot of boardrooms around February time, and everyone was like, 'No, this is nothing. It's not going to happen'. Then, by May, people were like, 'We need to do something with you guys.'

"When we first launched Tilly, people were like, 'What's that?', and now we're going to be announcing which agency is going to be representing her in the next few months."

This revelation comes shortly after the official launch of Xicoia, a new branch of Particle6 that focuses on creating, managing, and monetizing hyperreal digital performers.

If the deal goes through, Tilly Norward will be among the first AI actors to secure representation at a talent agency, a major shift for an industry built on real-life stars.

Puhm echoed the sentiment that the tide has shifted dramatically in just a matter of months.

"I remember having meetings with the studios as an AI artist before joining Luma. Some said, 'Oh, no, we're not using AI.'

"I knew some were lying, they were already secretly wo rking on some stuff, but some were not open to it at all. Then definitely this year, kind of like March, April, people called me and wanted to talk to me."

"They were discussing me being a liaison between directors and the AI artists… at that time I was traveling around a lot and educating about workflows and pipelines and how it can be integrated, and then all a sudden that was becoming very interesting to them.

"It was a different language to them and they were like, 'We really have to get people from the outside that have worked in the AI industry'.

"Historically, the studios have been very slow to adapt, at least publicly, they need that influx of new creatives, and new creative technologists to come in and actually show them how it's done. You can assume that a lot of them are already working on it."

Puhm added that virtually every major studio is experimenting with AI-assisted projects, though NDAs are keeping the details under wraps for now.

"We really want to make them feel comfortable through their testing, through their projects, and working on real projects… we want it to be their decision on when they want to say it out loud, but honestly, I think this year is going to be interesting. In the beginning of next year, there's going to be a lot of announcements."

"We want Tilly to be the next Scarlett Johansson or Natalie Portman, that's the aim of what we're doing," van der Velden told Broadcast International.

If Tilly Norward does land representation, it would mark a groundbreaking moment in Hollywood history. Whether this is the beginning of a new era of AI-driven talent or just an experimental phase, but the industry is preparing for a very different kind of star pow er.

Like it it or not, Hollywood will one day be fueled by AI, and it's going to be a sad state of affairs.
