So You Think You Can Dance will have to learn a whole new routine for the coming season.
That's because executive producer and judge for the series Nigel Lythgoe took to his Twitter to reveal Fox has cancelled the results show.
Wait, what?!

Lythgoe broke the news Sunday, tweeting: "FOX have cancelled the results show so I will have to change the format of SYTYCD. At least we have another season at the end of MAY."
The uber-producer went on to clarify that the format change doesn't mean an end to the competition show as a whole, reassuring viewers: "Don't worry SYTYCDÂ fans. I'm thrilled we have a new series. We'll do our best to find some great talent starting next week in Atlanta."

Although the precise format of the tweaked show remains unknown, as a hands-on executive producer Lythgoe remains content with the program's network and its new direction, adding: "I'm certainly not mad at FOX they have supported SYTYCDÂ FOR 9 seasons. With the help of [producer] Mike Darnell, I think we have some great new ideas."
With no results show, Lythgoe suggests one obvious revision to the judging process: "In order to continue America's vote, results would have to be given the following week."
Talk about dramatic tension! That change alone stretches out the anticipation of who gets the boot even longer.
Season 9 of the hit reality competition show, which crowned Melanie Moore its champ last season, is scheduled to air Summer 2012.
