Mayberry lost one of its very best, when TV legend Andy Griffith passed away on Tuesday.
As we previously reported, The Andy Griffith Show star died in his home in Roanoke Island, North Carolina.
Now, we know just how the 86-year-old passed â€" his death certificate revealed that he suffered a heart attack 24 hours before his death.
The Matlock actor had been dealing with numerous health issues, including coronary artery disease, hypertension and hyperlipidemia for a number of years.
He was buried shortly after his death on his farm’s property on the island and a private service was held with those closest to him in attendance.
